JunKroom vol 12 - Live event at Urbanguild on 18th December 2009

Finally- some details for you....
JunKroom vol 12 (our 2nd Birthday!) will take place on 18th December at Urbanguild in Kyoto, almost exactly 2 years after our 1st event above Aoi Recycle Shop on Kita Oji Dori.

So here's a provisional line up for the event with more to follow. Expect a maddeningly varied selection of works for this event with special guests sbot n wo visiting from Canada

Very Easy to find-Here are some basic directions

From Sanjo Dori go down Kiyamachi Dori
(This is the narrow street running alongside Takase stream
Urbanguild is on the east side (left hand side as you walk down from Sanjo) approximately 150 metres.Its on the 3rd floor of New Kyoto Building- access by elevator or stairs.

The first "Outsider Record Fair" presented by Jun Kroom Records and Urbanguild. will take place on 10th Jan 2010.
We are actively looking for private sellers and collectors to join the event. Please note that there will be a small single charge to join the event. (no percentage will be taken from your sales) Sellers will be responsible for their own items ( installation,sale and clearance) If you wish to participate and you'd like more details, please email me through this blog (go to my profile page to email me directly)

The Fair will start at 11.30am and end at 6.00pm
Entrance will be free to visitors to the fair

"For Gaza" event Urbanguild 6th November 2009

"For Gaza" is a Kyoto based collective that creates events to raise awareness about the plight of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, combining art, music and politics with guest speakers, films and discussion.

JunKroom has been taking a break for the last couple of months.
Our next event will be a charity event on 6th November at Urbanguild (For Gaza vol 2)

This event is co-produced by JUNKROOM、さぼてん企画、京都YWCAブクラ、moro² With the proceeds going to JVC.Please check the "For Gaza" Blog here for more details and updates.

Some other interesting things are being planned for the autumn and going into 2010
including the first "Outsiders Record Fair" to be held in conjunction with JunKroom Records and Urbanguild.
This will take place on 10th January 2010(Sun) The Record Fair will run from 12pm-6.30pm and there will be live music from 7.00pm (details will be released later)
